The Austin-Central Texas Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association was formed in August 2006 with 12 charter members. The Chapter serves Austin and the Central Texas area including areas such as Georgetown, San Marcos, Temple, Killeen, Waco, Bastrop, Fredricksburg, Dripping Springs, Buda/Kyle, Wimberley, Johnson City and Bryan/College Station.

Members represent nonprofit organizations, public agencies, businesses and consultants. The goal of the Chapter is to bring together grant professionals to share ideas, enhance learning opportunities and increase awareness of funding resources.

The Chapter now has more than 30 members and hosted GPA's National Conference in 2009.
